Q: What is the ICM?
A: ICM is short for International Council Meeting. It gives ELSA members a biannual chance to come together and have fun, make decisions about the future of the association and explore different cultures and different types of alcohol.
Q: When and where does the October 2009 LVI ICM Sinaia Romania take place?
A: Between the 25th of October and 1st of November 2009 in Sinaia Romania.:)
Q: What does the OC provide?
A: The OC of the ICM Sinaia is a highly qualified team of experts that provide shelter, food and water for the participants as well as counseling with love issues, protection from the dark forces of evil and answers to any questions that participants might have during the ICM. If you have any questions about the Romanian culture, or any problem finding something around Sinaia, or if you just had a rough day and feel the need for a warm hug, the OC will be there to soothe your pain.
Q: What does the Hotel provide?
A: The Hotel provides our guests with bedrooms, bathrooms and furniture in each of them. It also has a restaurant that provides our meals, a swimming pool and Spa where ELSA members can relax after a hard day in the conference rooms or a hard night on the dance floor.
Q: What do I have to bring with me?
A: Besides yourself? Clean clothes, appropriate clothes for parties, some warm clothes in case it gets chilly or it rains, one toothbrush, toothpaste, shoes, one pen, cell phone charger, underwear, passport, your national drink or national products…and that’s about all you need…
Q: How is the transportation arranged?
A: You shall be whipped off your feet the moment you land on Romanian soil by a shuttle that will take you to the heart of the Carpathians, where you will find a marvelous scenery and a bloodcurdling legend…
Q: What else is there to know?
A: On the second of your arrival you shall be given a tiny book that we like to call a Survival Guide…It shall contain all the information your heart desires to find out about what/when/where/how to move around Sinaia and Bucharest. If your confusion persists poke the first OC member you set your eyes on.
Q: How do I get to the parties of the social programme?
A: All parties will take place in the specially designed rooms of the hotel or in walking distance of the hotel, for your convenience of course.
Q: What’s this Gala Ball I keep hearing about?
A: Gala Ball is the place to be, it’s the most glamorous part of the social programme, where every participant puts on his fancy shoes and attends an evening of style and elegance in a mind blowing setting at the Sinaia Casino, a place where dreams come true, and even the most wild heart is tamed by the exquisite sound of the violin…
Q: If i’m an ELS member, will I benefit from transportation to the ICM, considering that I will arrive later than the rest of the participants?
A: Yes, the OC will take care of your transportation on the day of your arrival, which should be Thursday the 29th of October, when the ELS programme starts.
Q: What if I happen to arrive for the ICM on another day than the 25th of Oct / if I want to leave prior to the 1st of Nov? Will I benefit from transportation to / from the ICM?
A: No, transportation is assured by the OC on the 25th of Oct / 1st of Nov; however, for groups of at least 20 attendants, we will organise transportation on other days as well.
